I remember distinctly when Jess told me her vision for her engagement session she just said something with the fall leaves changing. But when I prodded her with more questions, got her mood board and read her questionnaire responses I realized that they wanted a vintage inspired engagement session which is right up my alley. After some phone calls and back and forth messaging it was finally time for the session. Jess rented a vintage Ford Mustang to surprise her fiancé for the shoot and she spared no detail in styling a vintage picnic and a second outfit for the car photos.
We shot at sunset at Pinnacle Point Overlook in Holtwood, PA and then I got creative shooting well into dark with the classic muscle car.
I am obsessed with the vintage outfits she sourced, and the candid detail shots of Jess and Dan interacting. The way he zipped up her dress and looked into her eyes while kissing her hand is something to be remembered beautifully.
I love editing to look like film and I was looking for the excuse to try out the Phill Chester Daydreamer presets so I pulled the plug and bought them and with a few tweaks to make them my own, they turned out so beautifully and filmy on these vintage engagement photos.
